In 2017, all LearningField users will be upgraded to a new LearningField platform that will bring increased reliability and a broader range of eReader options. This means all LearningField users will need to activate their account and update their eReaders to access LearningField textbooks. The LearningField eReader apps with the green logo on your laptop, Macbook or iPad are no longer supported and can be uninstalled.
Three steps to update
- Activate your new LearningField account by logging into your account at www.learningfield.com.au. Your email will be your school email address and your password will be provided to you by your school.
- Download a VitalSource Bookshelf eReader and login with the same details above.
- Search or browse for the texts in LearningField Manager and add chapters to your My Library.

Changing your password
You can change your password using the ‘Forgot password’ link in the LearningField Manager login page. There are minimum password requirements:
- 8 character minimum
- 1 upper case
- 1 lower case
- 1 special character chosen from only the following !@#%
How chapters will appear in the VitalSource eReader apps
Chapters added to your My Library will sync to the VitalSource eReader on your device, and you can download and read chapters offline. You can also read online while in the LearningField Manager by selecting the book icon next to chapter titles in My Library.
Please note that chapters selected for My Library will appear as separate covers in the VitalSource eReader.
Class groups in LearningField
Class groups will be uploaded in LearningField closer to the start of Term 1 next year, and teachers will assign texts as needed. Class groups will appear as folders under ‘All titles’ when texts have been added to the group libraries.
