LearningField is proud to welcome not-for-profit SIMON as its newest Learning Management System (LMS) partner.
The partnership means all schools using SIMON as their LMS can now easily access a broad range of quality content from a range of leading educational publishers with a subscription to LearningField as their digital content provider. Schools can pick and mix which resources best suit their needs from 12,500 chapters across 12 different publishers. Teachers can assign an entire e-textbook, chapter or directly link to a page without leaving SIMON.
Starting in the Ballarat Catholic Diocese, SIMON has grown to enhance the learning of more than 65,000 primary and secondary students across Victoria and South Australia in Catholic, government and independent schools. The not-for-profit uses its revenue is used for continual development in the interests of schools, not shareholders.
“Our entire philosophy is based around responding to the needs of our users – and being made up of educators and school leaders ourselves, our business recognised that a partnership with LearningField would help improve the experience of accessing the educational content teachers need to efficiently run their class,” Kevin Brodie, SIMON General Manager says.
“Within minutes of receiving their LearningField access codes, all teachers can easily assign books for their classes, ready for students to access right away. Teachers can use the SIMON media resources to directly link pages to student tasks, making it easier for students to click to read the resources without needing to sign in and out of different systems,” he said.
