As LearningField goes into its third year of operation there is a lot we have learned. There were so many improvements we wanted to make that we decided to substantially redevelop our platform.
In 2015 we are launching a whole new platform that is built for K-12. On our web portal we created a fresh and clean design, repealed any unnecessary elements and added some very powerful classroom features for teachers like students quizzes. We redesigned our apps with a stronger focus on groups and they will work equally well on PC, Mac, iPad and Android with full group support across the range. All our apps, including the Cloud Reader we launched a few months ago, will run even faster.
While we made a lot of changes we didn’t try to reinvent the wheel and worked hard to ensure that existing and new users feel home straight away. The most important user flows like adding a chapter to a group, downloading a chapter or creating a note were working well before so we left them as they are with some minor tweaks.
The new LearningField will be more robust and easier to use whether you are a school administrator, teacher, student or parent. We will be providing self service provisioning that can be fully automated by connecting to your Active Directory, Office365 or Google Apps. The new architecture also allows us to add features quicker so watch this space in 2015.
